Local Artist Spotlight: Erin Hellmann of Sunflower Collective

One of my favorite things about being a small shop owner is connecting with our community. Erin & I did a shopping event together at Dewey Beer Co back in November and I instantly loved her work. The first thought in my head was how perfect they'd be in a nursery or kids room. After some DMs back and forth, we are proud to say we are her first store carrying her work!

Check out a little bit more about her story and her style as an artist below, and of course, you can shop all of her prints in both of our stores and online here.

meet the artist, Erin Hellmann

I found my passion for art as a child, when I would create as a means to escape and to create different worlds for myself. After graduating from Towson University with a B.A. in Art Education, I then went on to start my career and found my calling in teaching and inspiring others to find a similar escape. I left the world of traditional education as well as my home in Baltimore 5 years ago to pursue my passion for traveling. I have lived in 3 different countries while creating art and teaching online with my home bases being Rehoboth Beach, DE and Samara, Costa Rica. I also made a promise to myself at this time that I could never live far from the ocean again.

My artistic style is typically color and brush exploration with fine details using ink.
